What are The Originals?
We combine a mixture of short-form improv (The BBC's Who's Line Is It Anyway?), long-form improv (HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and Chicago's famous ImprovOlympic) and cutting edge sketch comedy (Chicago's The Second City).
At an Originals show, you in the audience are the writers. You give us our raw material, and then we go to work, spontaneously bringing those ideas to life.
The result will absolutely blow you away; we guarantee a night of sidesplitting laughter and good times.
What is the philosophy behind The Originals' night club and bar performances?
We believe in power improv theater, uncensored and uninfluenced by judgementalism. While just doing "blue" humor for the sake of doing "blue" humor is sad and not funny, we do not censor ourselves. Life happens.
